Jack Daswani develops his craft for fine tailoring and custom made clothing. Leaves Hong Kong to expand business into the US. We pioneer the direct selling business way vefore the bigger custom houses existed.

Daswani regularly made frequent visits throughout major cities in the Northeast, Mid Atlantic and some parts of the mid west. He would work with clients in Cleveland on Monday, and by Wednesday be in Boston for his next custom sales visit.

During one of his road trips between Manhattan and Boston helanded in Hartford. Little did anyone know this Nutmeg city would be the future home of Daswani Clothiers.

Daswani Custom Clothiers showroom became established in the then Hartford Hilton Hotel on Asylum Avenue.

Jack and his wife Deepa together opened their 5,000 sq ft. dream store just outside of downtown in West Hartford on South Main St. Expanding from mens cunstom into mens ready-to-wear, women’s and women’s custom, along with children. With 4 full time tailors, seamstress, embrodiery, reweaving, and uniforms business Daswani Clothiers was operating as the premiere speciality apparel establishment.

With being able to source merchandise form all over the globe, Daswani found the need to have domestic made clothing. Partnering with the finest suit makers in the northeast, Daswani now offered customers the highest quality tailored clothing proudly made in USA

Daswani Clothiers celebrates 25 years in business.

With their lease reaching its end, Daswani found a new home in an up and coming, more in-town location, within West Hartford Center, across the street from the famous Max’s Oyster Bar. Moving the business into the center of town began the rise in higher luxury apparel and designer collections.

Daswani Clothers voted one of CT’s best mens store.

With their knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, fit and style, Daswani began designing and making their own brand and private label merchandise. The capstone of the company’s ambition to define contemporary menswear on its own terms.

Daswani expands into e-commerce and Daswani Direct, a team of experienced fitters and clothiers improving customer service by visiting clients in the ease of their home or office.

With 5 years of his own tailoring and designing experience, Jack’s son enters the family business to help carry on the legacy.
